Hello! I’m Emily.
Thank you for taking a look into Audrey’s story. After experiencing God’s unending faithfulness through the loss of my infant daughter I have made it my mission to tell anyone and everyone about God and what He has done in my life.
You can find me sharing our story through our blog and also on Hope Mommies. And keep your eyes peeled because Justin and I are working on something very big… our first book!
I am California grown, but my heart is in Alaska. I have a bachelors degree in hospitality management, with an emphasis on event planning, if there is a party, I want to be there!
I married my high school sweetheart at the age of 21. Upon returning from our honeymoon we moved to Alaska to start our life of adventures and going wherever the Coast Guard takes us.
If you are here because you lost someone too, I am so sorry. I encourage you to spend some time with us and seeing how in the midst of our suffering God has blessed us and I pray He blesses you too.
I’m Justin, and I too am so glad you are here!
I serve in the U.S. Coast Guard, a rewarding job which has moved me, my beautiful wife, and our dorky Brittany Spaniel from our favorite home in Alaska, to Seattle, and now Cape May, New Jersey. I love the West Coast and the great outdoors to go hiking and camping in.
I am by no means a writer. In fact, I am a civil engineer. So, naturally, writing is not something toward which I am inclined. Yet thinking back now, even as a young child, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, amongst a list of other things, including a professional baseball player, the President of the United States, and a chicken farmer, I declared that I wanted to “write a few books, though I wouldn’t be an author”. Perhaps I did not believe I would ever have enough stories to tell. Yet, I believe that even at that time God was grooming me to know that the stories of what He brings me through in this life are worthy to be shared.
I know that God has called me to share our daughter’s life story and the subsequent stories of my journey since her passing. I have felt something I can describe as nothing other than a heavy weight, or a burden, to tell it. Yet this is also an incredible blessing: to tell of the beautiful marks God’s presence has brought to my life.
I hope you are here because you will connect with the stories I have to share, and I further hope you will be encouraged by what comes from my heart.
